Muscat: Several new residential, tourist and commercial projects are in the pipeline for Oman, says a retail giant.
As the company celebrated its 10th anniversary, Al Khonji Real Estate and Development (AQAR) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed bin Abdulla Al Khonji, revealed that a project in Qurum and another in Duqm Economic Zone were being implemented.
“Qurum project is among those that AQAR intends to implement now, which includes several buildings consisting of hundreds of units on an area of approximately 70,000 square meters. In addition to that, another development in Duqm Economic Zone will also be put into operation,” Al Khonji said.
He added: “A third scheme, located in Bawshar, is a residential building dedicated to female students with international specifications and specialised management.”
Since its inception, AQAR has developed many distinctive mixed-use projects, and its units have witnessed high demand both for residential and office use. Currently, the company is working on its Rimal II and Office 1991 schemes and says it will launch the other three ventures in Qurum, Duqm and Bawshar soon.
“The company is launching its projects according to meticulous plans to meet the needs of the market, whether residential or office units. We are always keen to select places that meet the expectations of customers, enhancing our presence with excellence and workmanship, stressing commitment to high and innovative specifications. This has put the company at the top of the list of real estate developers in the Sultanate.
“On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, we have launched an offer for Rimal II and The Office 1991 projects, currently under construction, in recognition of the pride of our customers in this brand. This offer includes OMR 5,000 in cash for residential or office units and free parking, and a 10 per cent discount of the value of the property for those who buy for cash, in addition to entering a prize draw of OMR 25,000,” Al Khonji said.
The Office 1991 project is one of the innovative plans for business owners due to its specifications and intelligent technological characteristics which meet the needs and requirements of different companies where the offices can be controlled remotely by mobile phone.
“The Smart Office project has witnessed high demand since its launch – 55 per cent has been sold so far – indicating that the company has come a long way in construction. The units are expected to be delivered within the next six months, a year ahead of schedule.
“The office unit prices start from OMR55700, and they are located in Al Khuwair, near a set of shopping malls and hotels,” Al Khonji said.
The 1991 Smart Office project consists of 13 floors, four of which were allocated for parking and the ground floor as a shopping mall, while the 166 office units are distributed throughout floors 1-8.
Rimal II is located near shopping malls including Mall of Oman, Grand Mall and Panorama, and is also close to service facilities, which makes it one of the best places to live.
The building consists of 10 floors, three of which are underground parking for residents, with one for those visiting shopping malls.
“The shopping mall in Rimal II will be linked to the mall in Rimal I to become an 8500 sqm leasable centre. The price of residential units in Rimal II starts from OMR 28345.
“The six floors include 148 luxurious units, designed in an innovative style ensuring enjoyment and luxury, family-friendly and modern lifestyle. The project includes a swimming pool, health club, gymnasiums, a place for barbecues and concerts, and a children’s corner for playing games,” Al Khonji added.
